Placement

How the placement cell prepares and supports students.

The placement cell coordinates campus recruitment, pre-placement training and employer engagement. It works with departments from the penultimate year of each programme rather than only in the final semester.

Pre-placement training

  • Aptitude and quantitative reasoning practice
  • Technical interview preparation, run by the departments
  • Group discussion and personal interview practice with feedback
  • Written and spoken communication workshops
  • Curriculum vitae preparation and review
  • Mock interviews with external panellists where available

How campus recruitment runs

  1. The cell invites employers and publishes each drive on the placement notices page.
  2. Eligible students register for the drive by the stated deadline.
  3. The employer conducts its own selection process, on campus or online.
  4. Offers are communicated to students through the cell.
  5. Students accept or decline in writing; the cell maintains the record.

Eligibility to participate

Students must be in the final year of their programme, have no outstanding dues, and meet the academic criteria the employer sets for its drive. A student who accepts an offer is ordinarily withdrawn from subsequent drives so that opportunities are shared.

For employers

Employers wishing to recruit may write to the placement cell through the contact page with the roles, eligibility criteria, selection process and preferred dates. The cell will confirm available slots and coordinate arrangements on campus.
