About the University
Professional and technical education across eight faculties in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
Jodhpur National University offers professional and technical education from its campus on Jhanwar Road, Boranada, Jodhpur. Teaching is organised across eight faculties, each with its own departments, laboratories and academic staff.
Academic organisation
Programmes run at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The academic year is divided into two semesters. Assessment combines continuous internal evaluation — assignments, sessional tests and practical work — with end-semester examinations conducted by the examination cell.
Each faculty is headed by a Dean and is responsible for its own curriculum, subject to approval by the Academic Council. Departments hold periodic reviews of syllabus content so that programmes stay current with professional practice.
Campus
The campus is arranged around a central academic block with departmental laboratories and workshops, a library, a computing facility and separate hostel accommodation for men and women. Teaching, examination and administrative functions are all conducted on campus.
- Departmental laboratories and engineering workshops
- Central library with reading rooms and reference section
- Networked computing laboratories
- Lecture theatres and seminar rooms
- Sports ground and indoor games facilities

Governance
Academic policy is set by the Academic Council. Examination policy, result declaration and the issue of marksheets and degree certificates are the responsibility of the examination cell, working under the registrar.
