Community Programme
Extension and outreach work by departments and student bodies.
Departments and student bodies undertake extension work in Jodhpur and the surrounding rural areas. Activity is planned at the start of each session so that it fits around teaching and examinations rather than displacing them.
Regular activities
| Activity | Led by | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Health and hygiene awareness camps | Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nursing | Each semester |
| Free legal aid and awareness clinic | Faculty of Law | Monthly |
| Computer literacy sessions for school students | Computer Application | Each semester |
| Water conservation and sanitation surveys | Civil Engineering | Annual |
| Adult and remedial teaching support | Faculty of Education | Weekly during term |
| Blood donation and health check-up drive | Student bodies | Twice yearly |
| Tree plantation and campus environment drive | All faculties | Annual |
Student participation
Participation is voluntary and recorded on the student’s activity record. Departments issue a certificate of participation at the end of the session. For programmes with a mandated field or internship component, extension work may be counted where the syllabus permits it.
Working with the university
Schools, panchayats and voluntary organisations that would like to host or co-run an activity may write to the registrar through the contact page.
